Tikal National Park is located in Petén. It's an archaeological site left by the Maya civilization. It's comprised of thousands of architectural and artistic remains dating back from 600 B.C. to around 900 AD (UNESCO - Tikal National Park). "The country is best known for its volcanic landscape, fascinating Mayan culture and the colorful colonial city of Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage Site"(Selene Nelson).

Nicaragua

It's known for its volcanoes and lakes. Masaya Volcano National Park is located in the capital Managua. It's the most popular tourist attractions in the Pacific (Centroamerica), because you can watch lava bubble restlessly in the crater of one of the country's most active volcanoes (lonely planet).

Honduras

The Maya site of Copan is consists of a main complex of ruins with several secondary complexes encircling it. El Salvador

For those who like to walk, the National Park Cerro Verde is a wonderful place to do so. It's home to a wonderful orchid garden, majestic volcanoes of Izalco and Santa Ana, as well as Lake Coatepeque. There's a spectacular viewpoints from which you can admire the all of the above and the towns such as Juayúa, Nahuizalco, and the historic Acajutla with its beautiful port. Panama

Colombia

Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta.
